Web Design and Development

Web design by definition in Wikipedia is a broad term used to encompass the way that content (usually hypertext or hypermedia) is delivered to an end-user through the World Wide Web, using a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari) or other web-enabled software to display the content. The intent of web design is to create a website—a collection of online content including documents and applications that reside on a web server/servers. A website may include text, images, sounds and other content, and may be interactive. Source: Clip from Wikipedia

We at ABT Websites design and develop custom websites specific to a clients business needs.  We may build a new website from scratch or update an existing one.  With either type of project, we take the time to discuss and analyze what end results are expected.  The 1st step is to create a mock design for client review.  Once accepted, we build out your website and integrate your content.

Updates to your website help keep it current.  Do not think that once your website is launched it remains static.  In fact, it is a healthy idea to update your website on a regular basis with fresh content.  Our mission is to develop your website so it “Works For You”!

Content Development

We refer to this as the verbiage on your website.  Your message and how is portrays the image and representation of the website.  ABT Websites provides three levels of website Content Development:

1. Content completely written by the client. We will review for spelling and grammar errors only and publish to the website, “as is”.

2. Review and provide feedback to client on content provided. This is used in cases where a client has some content and prefers a professional writer to review for final editing before posting to the website.

3. This level of content development is created entirely by professional writers. (Copywriters).  This process includes interviewing and researching the company representative and any existing collateral

Content Management Systems

Content Management System (CMS) is a feature to provide self-maintenance and secure logins of a website. When we look to a CMS, we look to the capability to self-maintain a website. Meaning that the website owner can login and update their own website without needing to know html.

For the more advanced functionality, such as a secure login to store and retrieve data, we integrate a database. Both are CMS systems, with different behaviors.

Both have the ability for the website owner to be able to self-maintain their data, from content to pictures. Self-maintenance includes adding and changing content, deleting, adding and updating.

Our e-Commerce solutions provide the ability for the website owner to be able to self-maintain their content from products to prices and inventory levels, including the ability to add products. Our e-Commerce solutions integrate a database

Project Management

A project manager is assigned to each project development. Their responsibility includes:

• Facilitating team and client communication and collaboration

• Assessing key project milestone points

• Assigning tasks to designers, developers and other project team members

• Monitoring deliverables and deadlines

• Monitoring the project budget

• Managing changes to the project scope and deliverables

• Providing frequent project updates

Our project team will evaluate your current branding, your competitors’ websites and your target user base while formulating his or her design recommendations.  We’ll also send you the finalized Project Plan for your approval.  This document will review and reconfirm the scope of this project and the development phases if chosen.  It will further explain the sitemap, page layout, design, color and stylistic choices that our Designer recommends for your website.  You will have a chance to review and provide feedback on this document before we proceed with your design.

Search Engine Optimization

This is just one means of helping rank a website in search engine results.  There is on-site optimization and off-site optimization.  Some means of off-site optimization is provided through the use of social media marketing.  We at ABT Websites try to 1st get your website ranking from “organic” efforts.  Organic optimization is getting results without paying any search engine.  PPC (Pay Per Click) SEO is what the name says; words are “paid” to be clicked.

When an ABT client needs improved search engine results, our 1st step is to analyze the desired keywords and competition.  Until we know what words and phrases are the most relevant to your business we cannot set out a campaign to help your ranking.  If you do not know your destination, how will you know if you’ve reached it?

After we complete the 1st step we review the analysis report together with our clients and create a campaign. Together we agree on a plan of action.

Online Marketing Strategy

Marketing has moved dramatically away from traditional marketing programs.  Traditional marketing has been referred to as direct mail, newspapers, magazines, radio and television.  The move away from these traditional marketing programs began changing over 5 years ago.  Statistics clearly state that readership of print media has reduced drastically.  The internet and Online Marketing is the wave of the future

Online Internet based marketing reaches a much larger audience faster.  Numerous methods are available using an Internet based strategy to pinpoint your target audience.  Vertical marketing can be achieved by industry, demographics and sociographics.

We recommend a professionally built website, Social Media integration, blogs, online networking and email campaigns.

Online Marketing is also referred to as E marketing and Internet based Marketing.

Social Media Strategy

We at ABT Websites feel strongly that a Social Media Strategy is imperative to obtain the best business conversion rate for your audience.  We can pursue all the SEO strategies possible, however, SEO alone is not effective in today’s market.  If phone book, newspaper and magazine advertising are less and less effective, then an online strategy is necessary.

We need to utilize Social Media. A Social Media Strategy is a consistent and ongoing strategy.

The days of traditional marketing are gone.
